The best part of our Easter stay was the amazing variety of birds we saw during our hikes. We were guided by knowledgeable and friendly guides who helped us spot over 50 species in just a few hours. The location of the lodge was also a major highlight, with stunning views of the forest and easy access to various hiking trails. Additionally, the meals provided were delicious and satisfying, with three courses and a good variety of options.
One of the downsides of our stay was the condition of our room. The room was damp and had a musty smell, which made it a bit uncomfortable.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the cloud forest in every direction. The wooden geodesic dome room with a balcony made me feel like I was staying in a treehouse, which was a unique and enjoyable experience. Plus, having the hummingbird feeding station right next to the reception was convenient and allowed me to witness these beautiful creatures up close.
The rooms at the hotel were quite basic and could use some upgrading. Additionally, the pricing of the hotel was on the higher end, which I felt was not justified considering the basic amenities provided.

Our stay at Bellavista was truly worth the money. The room had a wonderful view of the forest, and we could relax and watch the birds from our sitting area. The location was stunning, surrounded by lush forests, and the staff treated us with great care and hospitality.
The breakfast menu could use some improvement in terms of flavor, but if you're primarily interested in the birds, it should be alright.

The birdwatching experience at the lodge was incredible. The guides were excellent in finding and identifying different bird species. The restaurant served delicious food, and the hummingbird feeding station was always busy. The bamboo cottage where we stayed was comfortable and had a great hot shower. The forest trails were well-mapped and offered a range of difficulty levels.
One downside was that the excursions were not well-advertised. We only found out about them by overhearing the guides.

The guides are knowledgeable, especially Freddie, and the views from the rooms are stunning. The German House offers comfortable amenities like a heater, kettle, and beautiful panoramic windows.
